Cold Weather - Warming Centers


Nassau's warming centers will be open from 8am - 6pm today, as well as any other day the temperature reaches 32 degrees or below.  The warming centers are located at:

Cantiague Park in Hicksville 

Wantagh Park in Wantagh

Mitchel Field Athletic Complex in Uniondale 

All warming centers follow COVID protocols and attendees will be required to fill out a COVID assessment and wear PPE.  PPE will be provided if needed.

Warm Bed

Warm Bed Hotline provides referrals for a place to sleep for only that night.

INN Interfaith Nutrition Network, Shelters

INN operates three emergency shelters in Nassau County.  This includes two family shelters and one shelter for single men.  All shelters are staffed 24/7.

Long Island Coalition for the Homeless (LICH) was originally founded in 1985 as a grassroots local advocacy effort to bring non-profits and other community partners together to unite around the cause of homelessness, seeking to expand and enhance services to meet local needs.
