Introduction to Libby: How to Use Libby While You Read

This Guide will help you to learn how you can access books, audio books and newspapers on multiple devices.

Once you have chosen your book, please utilize this page to inform you of all the features you can use while reading an e book. 

Text Size, Font, Lay out, Themes, and More.

Pressing Aa in the top right corner while reading a book can give you a great digital reading experience. Libby allows you to adjust the Text Size. You can change the font and lighting. Libby also allows you to customize the Typeface. In addition you can choose continuous scrolling, control the spacing, and alignment. The themes you can choose from are compact, standard, large, and low vision. If you click more you have access to assistive reader, Real-time Text Highlighting, Reading Ruler, Reading Progress (see Book Mark and Highlight) , visible clock, and page turn animation. 

Take Notes

You can take notes while you read the book. These notes will be available for you after the book has been returned in your "Timeline for this Title" section. 

Book Mark and Highlight

Libby automatically picks up where you left off. Simply click the "More" feature (as discussed in Text Size) and chose if you would like to see the page in book, the time left in chapter, or time left in book.

Additionally, you can leave a Book Mark on certain pages. 

You can also highlight important phrases and quotes that will be available even after you return the book. 

Once you have highlighted a phrase, you have the option to make a notation about the passage. 

Searching the Text

You can search for words and characters within the text.

Table of Contents

The Table of Contents allows you to see an outline of all the chapters. Moreover, you can go back to a chapter again easily.
