Free App. built by Overdrive that allows you to borrow e-books, magazines, and audiobooks from your library.
There are no subscription costs, no late fees, or in app purchases.
Titles are automatically returned on the due date.
Can be downloaded on IOS, Android, and new Fire Tablets.
Available in 14 different languages.
Actions- Synchronize Shelf - You can ensure that your shelf is up to date. Your shelf allows you to see what you have borrowed and put on hold.
Export Time Line- You can export your timeline and print it so you have a record of all the books you have borrowed.
Recover Card History- This function enables a Patron to recover all of the books they have read.
Disable Activity Recording- You do not have to record the history of your books if you do not want to. You may simply opt out.
Remove All Activities: You can delete all of your history.
Contents of Shelf:
Loans- This shelf includes all audiobooks, e books, and newspapers you borrow. Your recent material will be under this category.
Holds- contains your hold that you are waiting to borrow. This will be under Holds.
Timeline- See extension
Notices- This will display any notices you may have regarding books.
Libby allows you to switch different accounts. If each member of your family has a card, you can switch cards and each member can see their individual shelf.
Moreover, Libby allows you to take out books from different libraries. For example, if you have a card here from Nassau County Long Island, you can search for books. If that book is not in the Nassau Digital Doorway System, you can see if your card from Suffolk County, Florida, or Maine work.
These functions can be done with ease as Libby is very user friendly.
