OneDaySavior Recordings was an independent record label founded in 1997 by Christopher Tzompanakis, vocalist of the Long Island hardcore band Skycamefalling. The label was originally headquartered in Williston Park on Long Island, New York, firmly situating it within the region’s vibrant underground hardcore and post-hardcore scene. From its Long Island base, OneDaySavior released a string of influential albums in the late 1990s and early 2000s, specializing in genres such as hardcore, metalcore, emo, and post-hardcore. The label was later sold, relocated and put on hiatus in 2008, then appears to have officially ended operations around 2014.
OneDaySavior’s roster included a number of bands that went on to achieve cult status within their scenes, such as Boys Night Out, The Movielife, The Juliana Theory, The Sleeping, Dearly Departed, and The Killing Tree. The label also co-released, licensed, or distributed work with and through larger hardcore / metal-imprint labels and international partners. OneDaySavior became known for capturing the energy of the Long Island hardcore scene even as it reached bands beyond its local region, including Canadian acts.
