No Hard Feelings was a romantic comedy directed and co-written by Gene Stupnitsky (of The Office and Good Boys fame), as co-scripted with John Phillips. The film stars Jennifer Lawrence as Maddie Barker, a woman desperately trying to save her inherited home by answering a bizarre Craigslist ad and is offered a Buick Regal in exchange for spending the summer helping a shy 19-year-old, Percy (played by Andrew Barth Feldman), loosen up before college. Rounding out the cast are Matthew Broderick and Laura Benanti as Percy’s parents, with a supporting ensemble featuring Natalie Morales, Hasan Minhaj, Kyle Mooney, Ebon Moss‑Bachrach, and Scott MacArthur.
No Hard Feelings was filmed all over Long Island over in fall 2022. Locations featured included Point Lookout’s Ted’s Fishing Station (transformed into the fictional “Montauk Dock East”), Hempstead Town Park, the North Shore Animal League in Port Washington, Uniondale’s Greenfield Cemetery, the docks in Lawrence, the Montauk Point Lighthouse, Gosman’s Dock, and beach locales, cleverly blending Suffolk and Nassau County sites to stand in for the East End.
