Undated photo of the shopping center which housed L'Amours Far East:
Referred to as "America’s greatest metal club," L'Amour -- sometimes said and written as L'Amours -- was a venue where many future arena acts played their earliest New York City area gigs; audio of Metallica playing at L'Amour can be heard here. L'Amour Far East was a short-lived official outpost of the legendary L'Amour locations in Brooklyn and Queen. The Far East location was located in the Mayfair Shopping Center at 10-2020 Jericho Turnpike in Commack, New York.
Among the notable artists who performed at L'Amour Far East were The Ramones, Motorhead, Iggy Pop, Kix, Queensryche, Savatage, Zebra, and Rat Race Choir. A photo of The Ramones performing live at this venue can be seen here. The same spot appears to have later operated as a venue under the name Showcase, which is believed to have hosted The Good Rats, Exodus, Flotsam & Jetsam, Testament, and Hot Tuna.

Previous occupant of the space believed to house Leone's:
Located at 2 Park Avenue in Long Beach, New York, Leone's was a "small dive bar" which occasionally hosted known artists. This included a "secret gig" performed by The Kinks on October 22, 1969 with less than 200 attendees in attendance. The same spot is currently a Starbucks after many years as a Burger King.
It has been reported that T-Rex and Savoy Brown performed at Leone's, although others accounts report this gig as happening in Island Park at the space which was The Action House and Rockpile.

Present day photo of Lido Beach Towers:
Originally built as a grand hotel in 1928 as a beach, golf and tennis resort "for the rich and famous," Lido Beach Towers -- then the Lido Club Hotel -- was conceived and built by Senator William H. Reynolds as part of the Lido Golf Country Club. It had a live performance venue on-site, and Room 242 was reportedly the site of a scene filmed for The Godfather. These days, it is no longer a hotel, rather a gated community with private parking, as located at 2 Richmond Road in Lido Beach, New York.
Among the notable artists who performed at the Lido Club Hotel were Barbra Streisand, Sammy Davis Jr., and Connie Francis. A Long Island Press article noting Streisand's 2017 appearance at the Nassau Coliseum referenced it as her first Long Island appearance in over 40 years, referencing a 1963 performance of hers at the Lido Club Hotel. Blondie's Deborah Harry has been reported online as playing at this hotel in 1989, but it appears to be an error, with her performance instead taking place at the nearby venue Malibu.

Exterior of the former site of this venue (now believed to be Farrell's):
Located at 242 Pettit Ave in Bellmore, New York, Live Trax was a local bar situated across the street from the Bellmore LIRR station. In the 2000s it briefly hosted a number of notable independent bands and touring artists. This includes Say Anything, The Rocket Summer, Waking Ashland, A Global Threat, The Explosion, Pretty Girls Make Graves, and Reggie & The Full Effect.
Video of Rat Bastard performing at this venue can be seen here. The venue was situated on the same block as the Bellmore Playhouse, which hosted the premiere of the punk scene Bellmore: The Unscene, which can be seen here.

Exterior of 50 Brook Avenue in Deer Park, New York:
Known as both "Local 7" and "The Local 7," this venue was initially located at 91 Rome Street in Farmingdale, New York. Later it relocated to 50 Brook Ave. Unit O in Deer Park, New York, and is believed to have moved again to 50 North Industry Court in Deer Park. A DIY-style space which many have compared to the PWAC venue, Local 7 was little more than an industrial space where bands and independent artists would set up to play.
Among the notable artists who performed at this venue were Fall Out Boy, Bayside, Silverstein, Murder By Death, Spitalfield, The Arrogant Sons Of Bitches (featuring Jeff Rosenstock), Breaking Pangaea (featuring future Taking Back Sunday guitarist Fred Mascherino), Garrison, Blood Red, and Boys Night Out.
Video of The Ambition performing at this venue can be seen here. Video of the last show of The Fall Of Icarus can be seen here, as filmed at Local 7. The last performance of the Microwave Orphans, as held at Local 7, can be seen here.

Long Island Arena (also commonly known as the Commack Arena, Suffolk Forum, and The Island Music Center) was an indoor arena in Commack, New York located at 88 Veterans Memorial Highway. It was believed to hold around 4,000 patrons. It is believed to have been operational from 1959 until 1996. The Long Island Ducks of the Eastern Hockey League played there from 1959 until 1973, one year after the New York Islanders came into existence. The Long Island Cougars (an affiliate of the WHA's Chicago Cougars) also played at the Long Island Arena, as did the American Basketball Association's New York Nets. Along with hockey and basketball, the Long Island Arena was used for ice skating, the circus, the Suffolk County Fair, professional wrestling, and concerts.
Peter Frampton recorded part of his best-selling platinum double album, Frampton Comes Alive, at the arena. John F. Kennedy made a visit to the arena on November 6, 1960, while campaigning for U.S. presidency.
Other notable performers who had performed at this venue include Styx, Black Sabbath, Blue Oyster Cult (multiple members have Long Island roots including Eric Bloom and Buck Dharma), Jimmy Buffett, The Band, Deep Purple, Fleetwood Mac, Frank Zappa, The Beach Boys, The Who, The Yardbirds, Foghat (whose drummer Roger Earl relocated to East Setauket decades ago), REO Speedwagon, Rainbow (whose guitarist Ritchie Blackmore relocated to Long Island decades ago), Lynyrd Skynyrd, Cheap Trick, The J. Geils Band, Jerry Lee Lewis, and The Grateful Dead's Jerry Garcia.
A Charlie Daniels Band concert from this venue can be heard here, while a Jerry Garcia Band performance can be heard here.

The Long Island Brewing Company was a space that was way ahead of its time, preceding the craft beer revolution by at least a decade. There were reportedly three separate operations under the Long Island Brewing Company roof in Jericho: the microbrewery, an upstairs coffeehouse, and the restaurant. The space is believed to have been managed by Dave Glicker, who later ran The Downtown in Farmingdale and oversaw the Metro NY Balloon & Music Festival, as held at Brookhaven's Calabro Airport.
Among the notable performers who had played at this venue were The Animals' Eric Burdon, Bow Wow Wow, Squeeze's Glenn Tilbrook, Hot Tuna's Jorma Kaukonen, The Kinks' Dave Davies, Todd Rundgren, Zebra, and The Zen Tricksters. Glenn Tilbrook's 1997 performance at the venue can be heard here.
