Coheed & Cambria, formed in 1995 in Nyack, New York, is a progressive rock band known for their intricate concept albums based on frontman Claudio Sanchez’s sci‑fi saga The Amory Wars. The band played local venues across Long Island several times in their formative years. One of those live sets, which took place at Backstreet Blues in Rockville Centre, can be seen here.
A fun Long Island connection is the music video for the group's breakout single “A Favor House Atlantic,” as filmed around 2004. According to fans, parts of the video were shot at Molly Blooms II (later renovated and possibly renamed Revolution) on Long Island’s South Shore. That video can be watched here. More about Revolution can be read within this LibGuide.
