Selden, New York, has emerged as a modest hub for independent pro wrestling, having hosted live shows at venues like the Selden Fire Department and Hope Lutheran Church. Little is known about a June 1, 1998 live event hosted by the Long Island Wrestling Federation (LIWF).

A November 5, 2010 event titled NYWC Wolverines & The NYWC, as held at Newfield High School, included Tony Nese, Alex Reynolds, John Silver, Pat Buck and Mikey Whipwreck on the card. The August 26, 2023 show titled NYWC Anarchy In The Alley was held at the Selden Fire Department and included Dan Barry and Mike Mondo on the card. NYWC has been documented as hosting live events in Selden in 2010, 2022, 2023 and 2024.
