Hewlett, New York -- particularly the traditionally affluent community of Hewlett Harbor -- holds a unique and melodic place in professional wrestling history thanks to one of its most celebrated native sons: Jim Steinman. Known worldwide as the mastermind behind Meat Loaf’s Bat Out of Hell and other radio anthems (e.g. Bonnie Tyler's "Total Eclipse Of The Heart", Air Supply's "Making Love Out Of Nothing At All"), Steinman’s theatrical songwriting style found an unexpected home in the squared circle when he contributed to The Wrestling Album, a 1985 compilation produced by the then-World Wrestling Federation (WWF). His noted contribution was “Hulk Hogan’s Theme,” an instrumental track that perfectly captured the larger-than-life energy of wrestling’s biggest star during the height of the "Rock 'n' Wrestling" era.

The earlier-mentioned Meat Loaf made several WWF and WWE appearances over the years. This not only includes taking an RKO from Randy Orton, but appearing in the WWF-produced "Land Of 1,000 Dances" music video.

As Hewlett is in close proximity to JFK Airport, one can assume that the majority of WWE and WCW stars have traveled through that and other parts of the Five Towns area when traveling to live events at the Nassau Coliseum.
