Red Sentinel Astilbe Bare Root:

Description: Spectacular scarlet-red flowers held in arcing, pluming, lacy panicle.  Astilbes are renowned for their magical impact in shady borders and woodland settings. This is the finest red astilbe we astilbe-aficionados have come across. Unleashes a long-running spectacular of tiny scarlet-red flowers held in arcing, pluming, lacy panicles. Blooming from early- to mid-summer, this standard-setting beauty commands admiration. Outsize clusters of red florets are perched on ruby-red 30” stems issuing from clumping 18” mounds of glossy green leaves with red undertones. Trouble-free plants prefer shady spots with moderately moist, well-draining soil. A fine candidate for a favorite vase.

Dark Side of the Moon​ Astilbe​ Plants:

Description: Striking deep-brown leaves and rosy-purple flowers.  Like a vision from lunar dreamland with dark leaves and deep-violet flowers. New foliage is yellow, progressively darkening to lush, deep-chocolate-brown. Come late summer, raspberry-like buds on dark stems open to rosy-purple flowers. Adapts to sun or shade. An attractive hub for bees and butterflies.

Fanal Astilbe Plant:

Description: Deep red blooms on dwarf plants.  Fanal is the perfect choice for the deepest red astilbe blooms. Adding to the dramatic effect is the glossy, bronze foliage that appears luxuriantly in spring. This dwarf variety is a great edging plant and can add luster along ponds and to shady rock gardens. Easy to grow in moist, humusy, well-drained soil.
