Not to be confused with Friends of the Freeport Library, Friends of Freeport is an organization of volunteers borne out of the terrible events following Super Storm Sandy. This not-for-profit organization is committed to helping residents reclaim their homes and their lives in the wake of the storm. It is a non-religious, non-political group of big-hearted volunteers.
The Friends of the Freeport Library are an indispensable group of volunteers. Over the years, they have donated a grand piano, helped renovate the Memorial Room, and raised funds for the purchase of a video projector, a laptop, and the TV kiosk in the lobby. Become a booster of the Library and help continue this decades-old tradition of community support! To do so, fill out a membership form and return to the library along with a check made payable to Friends of the Freeport Memorial Library.
